About this deal

It’s great for all skin types, has anti inflammatory ingredients, and is convenient as a daily moisturizer. Stratia is a Los Angeles-based indie skincare brand that’s formulated with effectiveness in mind. Alli Reed, the founder, has an excellent blog called The Acid Queenwhere she detailed her DIY adventures before setting up Stratia. Overall, Soft Touch AHA is a great exfoliating serum for anyone but especially for those with oily or sensitive skin. Smell = Bergamot Oil + rosehip oil (just not a fan of the natural scent of these ingredients) BUT I will say it’s not as potent as the Huda Wishful oil (review HERE)

And, like the overly confident doofus I was (because skin care = self-care, right?), I powered through the stinging. Six months later, I got bangs to cover the worst of it. Until the worst of it wouldn’t heal.I do think those with oily skins should really keep their routine simple when using this, so the skin isn’t overwhelmed with serums + creams Liquid Gold is another modern daily moisturizer with a unique formula to help hydrate firm and repair your skin. Should you try Stratia Interface? I’ve found that this is quite light and sinks into your skin well if you don’t apply too much. It doesn’t drag when you apply it like a more linoleic-rich oil, but also doesn’t feel like it’s dripping off my face either (a bit problem when you’re oily!). It has quite a strong musty oil smell – to me it isn’t unpleasant, but I can imagine it could bother some people. I’ve been mixing a couple of drops with Liquid Gold when my skin feels extra dry, and using it under tretinoin to try to reduce irritation – it’s working really well for both. I’ve also lent this to my sister to help with spironolactone-induced dryness and she loves it too! Because this doesn’t disappear into the skin and remains on top of the skin (if you use a good amount of product) that does mean you’re left with an oily/greasy layer on top which is wonderful for the PM (although be careful of pillow if you sleep on your front), and means that this wouldn’t feel comfortable on my skin as an AM moisturiser). Stinging is never a good sign, folks. You want your skin to tingle, a kind of ooo feeling, not a surprise sssttt moment like you threw jalapeños on an open wound. I didn’t realize that when I first ventured into skin care, copying acid and essence routines from r/SkincareAddiction. So when a barrier breakdown, which can take a long time and was triggered by a stress-induced full-body hive breakout, finally happened, I was lost.

Sh-Polypeptide-1 and Sh-Polypeptide-11: the two Fibroblast Growth Factors which stimulate the growth of fibroblasts, the organelles responsible for creating collagen and elastin Reed expects sales to accelerate and continue to double over the next few years as she ramps up social media marketing, and plans to finally enter retail “in a strategic way.” So far we were writing about ceramides in plural. It's because there are lots of different ceramides, a 2014article writes that currently 12 base classes of ceramides are known with over 340 specific species.Chemically speaking, ceramides are the connection of a fatty acid and a sphingoid base and both parts can have different variations that result in the different types of ceramides. These encapsulated and targeted peptides are able to penetrate your skin to get to the necessary receptors, thus maximizing efficacy firming actives.

The story behind Stratia Liquid Gold isn’t like most skin care products. It began in 2016 when former chemistry minor Alli Reed started Stratia as a side hustle from her kitchen. Reed also started a blog and joined Reddit skincare groups, which turned out to be the key to her success. After formulating Liquid Gold, Reed shared samples with fellow forum readers on Reddit — and it went viral. Since then, Reed has formulated an entire line of Stratia skin care products, although Liquid Gold remains one of the brand’s best selling products. The consistency of the cream is very light and watery, which does not provide enough moisturization to ultra-dry skin.

The downside is that Liquid Gold is not quite occlusive enough for my dehydration-prone forehead. When I use it alone at night, I wake up with some dryness and flaking. I remedy this by putting my old Cerave moisturizing cream on top of Liquid Gold. Sometimes if I'm feeling wild, I'll seal it all in with vaseline. Ooh boy. This combo lets me wake up slimy and hydrated (a personal goal, although I realize that may not apply to everyone). I look forward to seeing if the niacinamide helps even my skin tone over the next few months. It already seems to be limiting my oil production, which was unexpected for a moisturizer but appreciated nonetheless. I'm glad that my skin likes this niacinamide product better than the one from The Ordinary, which broke me out a bit. Opting for the right products and declaring them as their dupes is essential. So, without delay, let’s move on to the 11 Stratia Liquid Gold Dupe. Kikumasamune Sake Milk Elizabeth wrote, “I am 42 and have patchy and rough skin. My daughter got this moisturizer for me; it has been my favorite since then. Hydration is a primary feature; it also acts as an anti-aging solution and fades away the appearance of wrinkles and crow’s feet. I am satisfied with the product.” e.l.f Pure Skin Moisturizer

In desperation, I made a Hail Mary appointment with Kristina Holey, a holistic esthetician (whom I discovered only because Glossier’s editorial director, Emily Ferber, name-dropped her at an event). Liquid Gold also has ceramides and cholesterol, two of the components of the lipid matrix that surrounds the cells in your stratum corneum (the top protective layer of your skin). It also has oils in it, which contain fatty acids bound up in triglycerides. There’s some research that found that putting lipid matrix components on your skin in the wrong ratio could make it recover from harsh treatment (like washing with cleanser) slower, but from what I can tell the right ratio is here. There’s also research that found that oils can act like fatty acids in this specific circumstance, so it’s likely to work as promised. Here’s why we love niacinamide: A publication in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, states that niacinamide can repair the skin barrier and improve skin moisture, as well as reduce inflammation, blotchiness, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkling. Pretty impressive, right?
