Upgrading your insulation from 75mm to 250mm thick could reduce your heating bills by around 35- 75 per year depending on the size of the property. The team stripped the loft in one day, topped up the main area with more insulation and complete the work the following day. Very straight forward to fit and install using the instructions provided and the online video as a guide. The extra airflow will keep your insulation dry and avoid any damp issues – another good reason to opt for raised loft flooring. Loft Legs are screwed directly into the joists or trusses in a grid to raise the boards, the spacing of the Legs should correlate with the joints in the boards.Thermal studies show that compressing insulation can reduce it's thermal properties by more than 50%. We’ve already established that squashing your insulation down is a bad idea, so the only option is to build over the top of it. This product carries a full 1 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables.

I would recommend planning out exactly the area you are boarding and what pieces you need on paper and not just relying on the online calculator. Brilliant system, I’m not the handiest of people but managed to board my loft, fit lights and get all the junk we only use once a year in the loft in a weekend. Extremely sturdy once all screwed together, makes going into the loft easy rather than a stress of trying not to fall through the plasterboard!A screw driven through the chipboard will self-tap into the top platform of the Loft Leg securely holding the board in place (movie link).
